By taking this course, you’ll have a deeper understanding of the major world religions from a Christian “theology of religions” perspective, including Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. You’ll study their rich history, primary beliefs, values, practices, and expressions.
As technology makes the world smaller, you may be increasingly aware of the global context in which you live out your faith. Do you feel confident in your knowledge of what other religions believe? How do you represent Christ in conversations with a Buddhist neighbor, a Jewish coworker, or in the comments section of your favorite social media platform? By taking this course, you’ll have a deeper understanding of the major world religions from a Christian “theology of religions” perspective, including Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. You’ll study their rich history, primary beliefs, values, practices, and expressions. Additionally, you will learn to communicate with competence and empathy as you gain a better understanding of the hearts and minds of the individuals you interact with on a daily basis. Join Patrick Oden and Samuel Newby on this journey into other faiths.
