Description

The churches of Christ have a long and storied history of ministry focused on reaching young people. Like in other branches of Christianity, the research concerning the receptivity of the next generation to Christ and His church is concerning. Instead of fixating on the problem and wringing our hands in concern, we have joined with others in focusing on efforts to disciple our young people; to make faith matter more to the next generation. Since churches of Christ have no centralized office, we felt it important to let you know of our involvement with this incredible collaboration of faith tribes and Christian leaders. The process was truly inspiring, encouraging, and humbling to be able to participate. We have likened it to a “Nicene Creed” type of moment for those in the world of ministry to children and youth - stacking hands on that which is of central importance and allowing the application to be contextual to both theological background and practice. Friends, placed before you, is a resource that has been created, vetted, and prayed over by hundreds - a resource that is freely offered to you to help you and your church disciple the next generation of Jesus followers. Instead of fixating on the problem, let's become a part of the solution.
